Wabi Kusa

This layout was inspired by the Jamaican riverbanks where papyrus plants thrive. An open-type aquaterrarium in Wabi Kusa approach. We used negative space and added white sandy substrate to blend the layout with the background wall. That way we created a nice balance and contrast between the greenery and the environment’s surfaces. We also added subtle eye-catching element, that probably creates a wonder to the viewer, a floating piece of moss maintaining a fixed position in the water column. This design features lava rocks, drift wood and fine-grained quartz gravel.
