Iwagumi Style
EMERSED | IWAGUMI STYLE | OPEN-TYPE
We love the infamous Japanese Iwagumi aquascaping style, but we wanted to take up a notch. We designed that in an emersed form, meaning no water column. The layout is made with lava rocks carefully placed to keep the original identity of the Iwagumi concept and we added potting soil mix for subsrtate. The layout has little to zero water section as it evaporates quickly. For the grass resemblance has been used the aquatic plant Riccia fluitans or most known as Floating Crystalwort. This is an experimental process to convert the plant from its fully aquatic form to emersed. A background light has been added to give the sunrise feeling. The two pictures depict the fresh planted phase and the final result with two extra plants added at the background.
