The Day After

The initial concept was to design a layout reflecting natural yet post apocalyptic scene. While working with it under a specific music genre, the concept got a bit twisted and a back bone-like structure seem to be more challenging. We decided to fuse these concepts by creating the layout in the matter of the hardscape to appear harsh and hostile and after planting to transform the final aquascaping into a rise-from-ashes theme as an answer to the condemnation. After all, nature always takes over. This Aquascape layout was designed specifically for the largest Aquascaping Contest IAPLC. The hardscape was made out from roots glued together following the Fibonacci sequence in a circular pattern. The layout has participated in a Hardscape contest as well with quite good ranks.
